Osborne Bay VNAZ

Recreational activity surveys (undertaken as part of ReMEDIES) have identified the seagrass bed at Osborne Bay to face heightened levels of pressure from anchoring activity.

A VNAZ was proposed as a result of this and discussed at several community conversations. The VNAZ will be installed March 21st-22nd and will consist of 8 marker buoys being placed in Osborne Bay to mark out the presence of seagrass. The aim of the VNAZ is to help boaters make an informed decision about where to anchor.
